Privacy Policy & Terms of Service
Effective date: 26 June 2026 · Last updated: 26 June 2026
Aevia (“Aevia,” “we,” “us”). Contact: privacy@aevia.app
Aevia is an adaptive strength-training app. We take the data you trust us with — including health and fitness information — seriously. This document explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have. It also sets the terms for using Aevia. Plain language is the goal; where a term has a specific legal meaning we say so.
The short version. We collect the training and account data needed to run Aevia and power its adaptive algorithm. We don’t sell your personal data. You can export or permanently delete everything from Settings → Account at any time. Health and training data is never shared with advertisers.
1.Information we collect
We collect only what Aevia needs to function and improve. Categories:
| Category | Examples | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Email, display name, username, password (hashed), or Apple/Google sign-in identifier | Create and secure your account |
| Profile | Experience level, bodyweight, training goals, sports you select | Personalize your plan and seed the algorithm |
| Health & training | Workout logs, sets/reps/loads, RIR & readiness, estimated 1RMs, PRs, optional sleep/nutrition | Power adaptive load recommendations and insights |
| Social | Follows, squads, challenges, cheers, posts, comments | Run the community features you opt into |
| Device & usage | App version, device type, OS, crash logs, feature usage | Keep the app stable and improve it |
We do not collect precise location, contacts, or biometric identifiers. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
2.How we use your information
- Run the service — authenticate you, sync your training across devices, and show your history.
- Power the algorithm — your logged sets, RIR, and readiness feed Aevia’s load recommendations. This processing happens to deliver the core feature you signed up for.
- Community features — display your activity to people you’ve chosen to share with (squads, followers).
- Improve Aevia — aggregate, de-identified analytics to find bugs and prioritize features.
- Communicate — service messages and, only if you opt in, notifications and product updates.
We process this data under the legal bases of contract (to provide the service), consent (for health data and notifications), and legitimate interests (security and improvement), as applicable in your region.
3.Health & fitness dataSensitive
Training and health data is the heart of Aevia, and we treat it as sensitive personal information:
- We collect it only with your explicit consent, given at sign-up and revocable anytime.
- It is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or data brokers.
- It is used to operate features you can see — your plan, insights, and recommendations — not for hidden profiling.
- If you connect Apple Health or Google Fit, data is read per the permissions you grant and used only inside Aevia, consistent with Apple’s and Google’s health-data policies. We do not share HealthKit/Health Connect data with third parties.
4.Sharing & disclosure
We share personal data only in these limited cases:
- With other users — the activity you choose to post or share with squads and followers.
- Service providers — vetted processors (cloud hosting, crash reporting, payment processing) bound by contract to protect your data and use it only on our instructions.
- Legal — when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect rights and safety.
- Business transfer — if Aevia is involved in a merger or acquisition, with notice to you.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under applicable law (including the CCPA/CPRA).
5.Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you have rights to:
- Access & export your data — download everything from Settings → Account → Export.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your account and data permanently — Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Withdraw consent for health-data processing or notifications at any time.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any right, use the in-app controls or email privacy@aevia.app. We respond within the timeframe your law requires (typically 30–45 days).
6.Data retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently erase your profile, training history, plans, and social data from our live systems promptly, and from backups within 30 days. Aggregated, de-identified statistics that can’t be linked to you may be retained. Some records may be kept longer where law requires (e.g. tax records for purchases).
7.Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, hashed passwords, access controls, and mandatory two-factor authentication on email accounts. Accounts created with Apple or Google are protected by those providers’ authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to industry standards and will notify you and regulators of a qualifying breach as required by law.
8.Children & age
Aevia is not directed to children. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account (or older where your country sets a higher age of digital consent). We confirm age at sign-up and do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the minimum age. If we learn we have, we delete it.
9.International data transfers
Aevia may process data in countries other than yours. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure your data remains protected.
10.Changes to this policy
We’ll update this document as Aevia evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app and by updating the “Last updated” date. Continuing to use Aevia after a change means you accept the revised policy.
Terms of Service
By creating an account you agree to these Terms.
11.Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information, keep two-factor authentication enabled where required, and tell us promptly at support@aevia.app if you suspect unauthorized access. One person per account; don’t share accounts.
12.Subscriptions & billing
- Aevia Plus is an auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly or annually at the prices shown in the app.
- Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the period.
- Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the Aevia app or account does not cancel billing — you must cancel through the store.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
- Founder-cohort pricing, where offered, is honored per the terms shown at the time you join.
13.Acceptable use
Aevia includes social features. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or infringing, and not to impersonate others, spam, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the service. We provide report, mute, and block tools, review reports of objectionable content, and may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms. There is no tolerance for abusive users or objectionable content.
14.Health disclaimer
Aevia provides training guidance and recommendations for informational and fitness purposes only. It is not medical advice. Strength training carries inherent risk of injury. Consult a qualified physician before starting any exercise program, especially if you have a medical condition. You train at your own risk and are responsible for using appropriate technique, equipment, and judgment. Aevia is not liable for injuries arising from your use of the app.
15.Liability, warranties & governing law
Aevia is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; where liability can’t be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence). These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Aevia operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
